Buddleja davidii 'African Queen'
African Queen Butterfly Bush
Description
African Queen is a semi-deciduous shrub that is upright in habit, reaching 5-6' tall and 2-3' wide. Leaves are medium green color and pointed. Long plumes of purple maroon flowers, gently scented, appear in late summer, attracting bees hungry for nectar. Plant in full sun with moist, well draining, fertile soil. Prune in spring, removing all the old wood; this will create a more compact shrub.
