Caryopteris X clandonensis
Blue Mist
Description
This mounded shrub reaches 1'-3' tall and spreads 3'-6'. It has a clumping and open habit. Gray-green leaves are deciduous, lance-shaped and fragrant. Flowers of a sky blue color grow from the axis of the uppermost leaves during summer, attracting bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. As fall approaches, flowers become papery looking with a wheat color. This perennial does best in full sun with moist, well draining soil. Prune in spring by cutting back half its height to promote bushiness and more blooms. This plant does well in dry climates. Not a long lived plant, perhaps 4-5 years.

Dig-up patches of weeds and undesirable grasses from turf areas.
Use water to grow the turf you want, not the weeds you don't want! Once you have eliminated what you don't want, add sod or over-seed to repair the bare areas.
