Description

Wintercreeper is a broadleaf evergreen vine or trailing shrub, or could be a mounding shrub to 1-3 ft high and 2-4 ft wide. If supported, it will climb to 40-70 ft high. Leaves of the species are tiny with serrated margins, dark green and marked with silver veins. Flowers and fruit are inconspicuous. it does best in full to part sun with light, well draining soil. It tolerates moisture and most kinds of soil. Considered easy to grow. Considered invasive in some areas. Tolerates coastal conditions; established plants need little water. May be used to control erosion. Several varieties now available, that have variegated foliage.
