Leucadendron 'Jester'
Sunshine Conebush
Description
This New Zealand plant is an upright shrub with bright reddish bracts which form long stems in the summer time. It grows to around 8 ft. It has green leaves which are obscured by the colorful stems. It is good in full sun, blooms in winter and spring and will survive quite nicely on low water. It is a eye-popping show stopper and certainly a great specimen plant for that reason. The actual flowers, not the bracts, are yellow. Beautiful foliage is used for flower arrangements.
