Description

Geelaalwyn is a succulent in the Aloe family with densely packed upright gray-green leaves with small sharp reddish spines along the margins. It has red and yellow flowers that shoot high above the foliage on spikes that appear in late winter. The name is an Africaner word having something to do with a hidden foot. This attractive succulent reaches 2-3' tall and wide. It does best in full sun or light shade. Soil should be well draining; provide regular water during summer.
