Description

This succulent reaches 2'-3' tall and wide. Leaves are evergreen, fleshy, pointed, armed with spines, and are stacked on each other in rosettes. Rising above the foliage on thin stalks, orange flowers appear in the fall. This plant needs full sun and well draining soil. It is drought tolerant once it's established. However, additional summer time water plumps up the leaves. Do not eat any part of the plant. It may induce vomiting.

Water Saving Tip:

Apply as little fertilizer as possible.
