Description

Fremontodendron mexicanum is a large California Native evergreen shrub that can grow to 20 feet tall by as wide. It has grey-green leaves with hairy undersides. It can be very irritating to the skin so appropriate clothes must be worn while pruning. The plant is very open when the great abundance of lemon-yellow flowers are displayed in the spring and summer. It does best in full sun.
