Description

This attractive sage reaches 1'-2' tall and wide. Leaves are oval, dark green, glossy, and interestingly, spaced apart. Thin stems support 2-lipped, 2" long, drooping purple flowers that bloom in summer and fall. Sages attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Buchanan Sage looks great in containers. It tolerates full sun but appreciates afternoon shade in warm inland valleys. It does not tolerate frost and prefers well draining soil.
