Salvia 'Indigo Spires'
Indigo Spires Sage
Description
This very reliable and hardy perennial quickly reaches 6'-7' tall and 2'-3' wide. It starts to topple over from its weight so trim height to 3'-4' tall. Leaves are 3" long and oval, grayish green on top and white and woolly below. Frost kills leaves close to top but plant comes back in spring. This sage tolerates full to part sun and regular watering. It likes heat and humidity. During summer and fall, violet blue flower spikes attract hummingbirds and butterflies. Has sprawling habit.
