Botanical name:Dietes iridioides

This clumping evergreen Iris bears tall, narrow leaves to 30" tall and white flowers marked purple in the center on stalks up to 3' tall. This variety has stiffer, darker foliage than the bicolor form. It requires sun to part shade with little or no summer watering when established.

Hot Lips Sage

Common name:Hot Lips Sage
Botanical name:Salvia 'Hot Lips'

A long-blooming Sage that blooms all summer with eye-catching red and white bicolor flowers. The nectar-rich flowers attract hummingbirds and other pollinators. Blooms from spring through hard frost in fall. Bi-colored flowers but turn red in heat.

Silver Wormwood

Botanical name:Artemisia arborescens

Fast growing shrub to 6' tall by 8' wide. Soft, silvery foliage is a good contrast to the dull yellow flowers produced in spring. Wormwood is tolerant of a wide range of climates and soil conditions, although it is a little cold tender (25f).

Botanical name:Carex barbarae

A sturdy wetland native that thrives in moist conditions but can tolerate drier conditions. Can be quite aggressive. Virtually carefree. Grows to 1-3' H x 2-3'W and spreads by rhizomes where there is moisture in the soil. Great to create habitat.
