Common name:Pride Of Madeira
Botanical name:Echium fastuosum

Mature specimens of this evergren shrub can grow to a size of 6-8' tall and 8-10' wide. In the spring, spikes of rosy violet to blue purple flowers appear. It should receive sun to part shade, with little or no summer watering when established. This plant can be severely damaged by frost below 25 degrees F. -Monterey Bay Nursery

A long lived perennial growing about 2' x 1'. Leaves narrow growing in a rosette at base. Flowers are 2" across, yellow and occur in late spring and summer and are held above the foliage. Good cut. Full sun to light shade. Wil do well in any garden soil.

Botanical name:Tulbaghia violacea 'Variegata'

The striped Society Garlic is a garlic scented perennial with green narrow leaves that have white margins to 1 ft. tall. The flowers are lavender clusters on a 1-2 ft. stem that bloom in the spring and summer. This perennial is drought tolerant.

California Sycamore

Common name:California Sycamore
Botanical name:Platanus racemosa

The California Sycamore is a fast growing deciduous tree that reaches up to 40-50 ft. high. It tolerates heat, smog, and drought conditions as well as moist conditions; it is native to riparian areas. It has interesting mottled bark when the tree is bare in winter.
