The deer grass is a warm season perennial that forms dense clumps from the base. The spike like flower stalks grow 2-3 ft. tall and this grass has striking foundation form. The deer grass is native to California, is drought tolerant, and is a beneficial insect plant. -Cornflower Farms

Ray Hartman California Lilac

Botanical name:Ceanothus 'Ray Hartman'

Growing vigorously as either a large shrub or small tree, the Ray Hartman has big leaves and medium blue, delicate flowers in 3"-5" clusters. It grows to 12' high and 8'-10' wide. This cultivar has good tolerance for heat; it needs occasional deep waterings with good drainage. It attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and beneficial insects. - Cornflower Farms

Morus alba 'Fruitless' is a deciduous tree that grows 25' to 50' tall and 35' to 50' wide with glossy green leaves. It's requires low watering (drought tolerant), full sun ( tolerances heat), and will tolerate average to poor soil.

This woody shrub has long stems with silvery white leaves and fragrant white flowers that bloom in the spring. It provides a strong sturctural form as a garden focal point. It can reach 6'H x 6'W.

This tufted perennial bunchgrass is native to the northern California coastal scrub. It forms a beautiful, dense mound of grey greeen leaves that reach 2' tall, with showy arching flower stalks to 3' tall. Reed Grass leaves assume an attractive purple coloration in the fall and winter. This evergreen should be grown under sun, with little or no summer watering required. -Monterey Bay Nursery

This plant is a low woody perennial growing 1-2 ft. high with 3-4 spread, having dark green foliage and attractive yellow summer flowers. It is a California native that is drought tolerant. It attracts butterflies and beneficial insects. - Cornflower Farms

Blue and White Sage

Common name:Blue and White Sage
Botanical name:Salvia 'Blue and White'

Salvia ‘Blue and White’ is from a cutting by Greg Rubin, most likely of a Salvia ‘Betsy Clebsch”. Unlike the Betsy Clebsch flowers that are variable and can be blue, white or bi-colored on a single plant, the ‘Blue and White’ have bloomed consistently with bi-colored deep blue and white flowers. It begins flowering in May and continues through the summer and into fall. ’Blue and White’ has compact growth to about 3 feet tall and wide. It is a bit more fussy about its soil then the straight Cleveland sage, as it prefers good drainage and a hot, sunny site. Established plants need water every 3-4 weeks.

Centennial Coyote Brush

This plant is a hybrid that combines a prostrate habit with tolerance for desert conditions. It grows 3' tall and 6' wide. It tolerates heat, sun and frost, maintaining its green appearance.
